Team Wrestling Regional info is in! DK, fresh off their District Championship win last week at Bellevue HS, will be headed to Mendon High School on Wednesday, February 14th, for a Regional semifinal match-up with Springport High School, with the winner moving on to the Regional Finals vs Mendon/Bronson winner from the other side of the bracket. Congratulations on DK's latest District Championship, brought home by our DK Varsity Wrestling Team from Bellevue last night!! The team defeated Maple Valley in the semis and then brought home the hardware with a resounding victory over Saranac High School in the finals. A great night for our DK Panthers!! Congrats to Coach Phillips, Coach Post, Coach Belew, and a great group of student-athletes. The Panthers will move on to Team Regionals next week. That info will be shared as we know more in the coming days. Best of Luck to our wrestlers as they move on with their Team Competition. Just as a reminder DKHS will be conducting NWEA testing for ALL 9th-11th graders tomorrow and Wednesday, February 6th & 7th. Seniors, please report to school on those days at 9:45 am.

DK Wrestling Fans!! The State Tournament has arrived and our grapplers will be heading to Team Districts at Bellevue High School on Thursday, February 8th with action starting at 6:00 pm. DK will face off against Maple Valley. The winner of that semifinal match will compete in the Finals against the winner of the Bellevue/Saranac semifinal. The Finals will take place after the semifinal matches are complete. Individual Districts will be held on Saturday, February 10th at Bronson High School with wrestling beginning at 9:30 am. DKHS will be conducting NWEA testing Tuesday and Wednesday morning this week.  The testing will occur between 7:55am - 9:45am.   This testing is only for grades 9-11.  Seniors are asked to report on Tuesday and Wednesday at 9:50am (they are excused from testing).   We also ask that all students grades 9-11 bring a CHARGED Chromebook with them for testing.  Thank you.

Hello DKS Families, It really was great to see our Panthers back at school today! Hopefully, we will be able to get back into a routine soon. We do apologize for any inconvenience caused by the bus transportation delays due to the road conditions and our switch to “paved roads only”. The safety of our students is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding during these weather-related challenges. We do anticipate having to utilize more “paved road only” days coming up. So, if you are not sure where your drop off/pick up location is, please contact the bus garage. 269-623-1515. We will be on a “paved road only” schedule for AM and PM routes on Thursday, January 25th. If there is a need for a “delay” or “school cancellation” for any reason that decision will be made in the morning. Hello DKS Families, Thank you for your patience and flexibility this morning. Our PM routes today (Wednesday) will be paved roads only. If you do not know this drop-off/pick up location, please call the bus garage. 269-623-1515. Bus drivers will not release students to walk down the dirt roads, if there is not a parent waiting to pick up. If you live on a dirt road and need to make alternate arrangements, please do so. Did you know the Detroit Lions and the United Way were founded in 1934?! Because of this, the Barry County United Way is doing a Lions fundraiser to celebrate this incredible season! With a goal of $1,934 (get it, 1934!), the proceeds will go to Youth Football Programs across Barry County. This is HUGE, especially for our new Middle School football team! Please consider participating, I know I am in! LET'S GO LIONS!

DK Panther Fans, What an interesting winter athletic season we are currently experiencing, eh? Just a heads up that all events and practices are shut down for today (1-23-24). The main roads are doing OK but some of our back roads and a majority of our gravel roads are impassible. Please stay safe out there and we will do everything that we possibly can do, given the time frames allowed, to reschedule all of our events that were scheduled for today. Stay tuned. Panther Fans, Given the bit of chaos that we all went through last week, there will be a handful of rescheduled events coming up. We will make every attempt to reschedule every event and get that information to all of you in a timely fashion. We will try and send them out one at a time, as best we can, so as to not create confusion with your schedules as we move forward.
