DKHS Student and Parents,
In light of the unique circumstances we are facing with the consecutive snow days, the staff at DKHS has agreed to make all final exam scores optional. Student grades will not be negatively impacted by the final exam. We are NOT CANCELLING final exams because we want students that would benefit from taking the exam to have this opportunity.
Schedule:
Thursday-1st and 2nd hour exams (half-day for students)
Friday-3rd and 4th hour exams (half-day for students)
Monday-No School (Teacher PD)
Tuesday-5th and 6th hour exams (Full day of school, students will start their new schedules in the afternoon)

Impact of Snow Days on Review Days:
The unexpected snow days have unfortunately led to the cancellation of several review days that were initially planned to help students prepare for their final exams. We understand the significance of these review sessions and acknowledge the challenges this may pose for both students and teachers.
Demonstrating Grace to Students:
In recognition of the unforeseen circumstances, we would like to extend a gesture of grace to our students. We believe in supporting our students during these challenging times and understand the additional stress caused by the disruption to the regular schedule. DKHS staff have agreed to err on the side of extending grace to all of our students.
Honoring Students' Efforts:
We highly value the efforts and hard work that students have put into their studies throughout the semester. It is important for us to acknowledge and honor their dedication, considering the unexpected challenges they have faced. We are working to allow for all final exams to happen but only in a way that will benefit the final grade of a student.
