On Saturday, October 12, 2024, DK sent seven DKHS Marching Band members to Band Day at WMU.
The practice began at 8:00 am for the 600+ High School Students and WMU Bronco Marching Band members. It was a beautiful rehearsal and day with a pregame concert outside of Miller Auditorium, a march down to the Stadium down Stadium Drive, pregame and kickoff. The high school students do everything alongside the BMB, including performances, stand cheers, and stand songs. Then the eventful weather pattern (wind, rain & hail, oh my!) came, but they still performed the halftime show they learned that morning, then had to evacuate to the Seelye Center for lightning delays, ending their day with their Postgame Concert inside.
WMU Band Day was an experience for our DKHS students to remember!
